What is Sriracha?Sriracha is a hot chili sauce made from chiles, vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt. The original sauce originated in Si Racha, a coastal city of Thailand in the 1930s before being recreated and popularized by a Vietnamese entrepreneur, David Tran in the 1980s. Although it ranks as a fairly mild sauce, less zesty than Tabasco, sriracha makes abundant use of fresh chilies.
