What is Pandan?

Pandan is a tropical plant with fragrant leaves which are used widely for flavoring in Southeast Asian cooking. Pandan is known as the asian vanilla due to its sweet aromatic flavor that's very similar to vanilla and gives off lighter notes of coconut, rose, grass, and almonds.
